CDS’s
size works well – it’s intimate yet
large enough to have a wide range of
interests so that you’re likely to find
others who share your particular
interests and hobbies. CDS is single
friends doing interesting things
together.
The
warm days of summer have meant great
summer time fun for Christian
Directed Singles. CDS started off
July with a BANG by going to Hudgens
Park in Duluth July 3rd for their
Independence Day celebration
complete with patriotic music and
fireworks. July 4th, some baseball
fans took in a Braves game and their
post-game pyrotechnics. The Saturday
following, a group carpooled to
Clayton County to take in
Jonesboro’s Southern Belles and
Whistles Tour. Puccini’s La Bohème
was a must-see for a couple of
diehard opera fans on the 14th. The
Gwinnett Symphony’s Concert on the
Green in Duluth on July 16th was
well attended, but cut short when it
rained on their parade. The next
night it was Phantom of the Opera at
the Fabulous Fox in downtown Atlanta
that some folks found attractive,
and on the 23rd other members
enjoyed the Atlanta Symphony playing
the music of Broadway in Alpharetta.
July 25th it was a night of good
times and great fellowship at the
monthly social at Abbot’s. Great
times with a great group and great
friends.
